The End of an Era. Following the completion of Olympic Middle, Bowman Creek Elementary, Willow Crest Elementary, and Lea Hill Elementary schools, the existing Olympic Middle School was demolished as it had finally completed its service life after serving as a ‘swing school’ for Auburn School District while other schools were being replaced.
World-Class Middle School Fields. The final project as part of Auburn School District’s 2016 “Building for Learning” bond, the old Olympic Middle School was demolished and replaced with two of the highest quality middle school athletic fields the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A synthetic turf multi-purpose field, primarily serving baseball and fastpitch is surrounded by a 60’ tall ball netting to ensure the community is protected from foul balls year-round. Stadium lights around the synthetic turf football field and track is an amenity few communities are able to enjoy at the middle school level. A central plaza leading from Olympic Middle School to the athletic fields and fieldhouse provides continuity and safety from the adjacent parking lots.
